MEXICAN PULLED PORK

Known as pork carnitas south of the Mexican border, the meat is cooked slowly, sous vide, gently pulled and infused with orange, lime smoked paprika and secret spices. The perfect pork to create an authentic Mexican meal in minutes.

PULLED PORK TACOS WITH GUACAMOLE

Ingredients

300g Mexican Pulled Pork
12 mini tortillas
2 limes, cut into wedges
1 large ripe avocado, smashed
Salt to flavour
1 small gem or cos lettuce, shredded
3 large ripe tomatoes, diced
2 tsp olive oil
Small handful fresh coriander, finely chopped
½ cup grated cheese

Method

  1. Heat Mexican Pulled Pork according to preferred cooking method.
  2. Heat tortillas as suggested pack instructions.
  3. To make the simple guacamole, place the avocado in a bowl and add the lime juice, salt. Mash with a fork to the desired consistency. It can be as chunky or smooth as you like.
  4. Serve the Mexican Pulled Pork tableside with warmed tortillas, lettuce, tomatoes, guacamole and cheese. Coriander and lime wedges for an extra hit of freshness.

MICROWAVE OVEN

  1.  Remove from outer box and pierce once in middle of tray.
  2. Microwave on HIGH for 4 minutes.
  3. Stand for 1 minute, remove film, taking care as hot steam may escape.
  4. Stir well, ensuring product is thoroughly heated through and serve.

AIR FRYER

  1. Preheat air fryer to 190⁰C.
  2. Remove from outer box and remove film on tray.
  3.  Place tray in air fryer for 3-4 minutes, then turn returning to air fryer for a further 3-4 minutes.
  4. Remove from air fryer. Allow to stand for 3 minutes.

OVEN

  1. Preheat oven to 180⁰C (160⁰C fan forced).
  2. Remove from outer box and remove plastic film on tray.
  3.  Place on baking tray and cook for 7 minutes, then turn and return to oven for a further 7 minutes.
  4. Remove from oven. Allow to stand for 5 minutes.

PAN/SAUCEPAN

  1. Remove from outer box and remove film on tray.
  2. Pre-heat BBQ/Saucepan to medium. Add product and turn product frequently for 608 minutes.
  3. Remove from BBQ/Saucepan. Allow to stand for 1 minute.
