CHAR SIU PORK

Capturing the authentic taste of Asia, boneless Pork is marinated in a Chinese style BBQ sauce then slow cooked for up to 18 hours. Perfect with rice, noodles or in boa buns this traditional dish is an absolute crowd pleaser!

Char SIU PORK MISO RAMEN

Ingredients

300g Char Siu Pork heated and sliced
350g ramen noodles
20g canola oil
2 lt dashi stock
2 tablespoons bonito flakes
1 tablespoon red miso
1/4 cup thinly sliced spring onions
1/4 cup enoki mushrooms, trimmed, a few reserved
1 small bunch baby bok choy, trimmed and sliced into strips
1 large egg
1 tsp baking soda
1 pinch togarashi
1 pinch furikake

Method

  1. Heat a fry pan over high heat add oil and heat 20sec reduce to medium heat add bok choy and mushrooms sauté until just wilted (1 min) remove from heat, set aside.
  2. Bring a pot of salted water to boil baking soda turn down to a gentle boil, add egg and cook for six minutes.
  3. Remove egg with a slotted spoon and cool then peel and slice in half, set aside.
  4. In a large pot, combine stock, any pork sauce, miso and bonito, bring to a gentle boil.
  5. Add noodles and cook until just tender, remove from heat.
  6. In serving bowls place bok choy, enoki and a pile of noodles in each.
  7. Garnish with pork, spring onion, egg togarshi and furikake.

MICROWAVE OVEN

  1. Empty contents from the bag and place onto a microwave proof dish.
  2. Microwave on HIGH for 6 minutes.
  3. Stand for 2 minutes then heat for an additional 4 minutes.
  4. Stir well to ensure heated throughout and serve.

OVEN

  1. Preheat oven to 200⁰C (180⁰C fan forced).
  2. Empty contents from the bag onto an oven proof dish. For best results ensure to separate the portions of pork when placing in the dish.
  3.  Glaze with honey (optional).
  4. Place the product on the middle rack of the oven and cook for 20 minutes or until the surface of the pork is browned.
  5. Turn product over half way through to ensure even heating of the product.

AIR FRYER

  1. Preheat air fryer to 200⁰C.
  2. Empty content from the bag and place in an air fryer.
  3. Heat the product for 10 minutes.
  4. Turn product over and heat for further 8 minutes.

PAN/BBQ

  1. Empty contents from the bag into a non-stick pan.
  2. Place on medium heat for approx 10 minutes.*
  3. Turn product over half way through to ensure even heating.

* Due to varied temperature, care needs to be taken to ensure products is fully heated through.
