Ingredients
Standard Meat Company Gyros Kit including pita
120 g Greek fetta, crumbled
40 g extra virgin olive oil
2 g dried oregano, dried
100 g kalamata olives
200 g cucumber, diced
200 g tomato, diced
100 g red onion, diced
20 g red wine vinegar
150 g tzatziki
4 lemon wedges
Method
Step 1
Heat lamb according to pack instructions.
Step 2
Transfer to serving platter with lemon wedges on the side.
Step 3
For the horiatiki salad, add onion, cucumber and tomato to a large mixing bowl.
Step 4
In a small bowl whisk together red wine vinegar, olive oil and oregano.
Step 5
Toss dressing and vegetables with the olives.
Step 6
Transfer to a serving platter and sprinkle fett over the salad.
Step 7
Heat pita accordingly to pack instructions.
Step 8
Cut pita into quarters and transfer to the serving platter.
Chef’s tip:
Add a squeeze of lemon juice to enhance the flavour of the lamb and herbs.
